WEll this is the first post that we, or i, have done in nearly a whole year (NOT GOOD).
Right, More about MRR and our web absence later.
The main reason for this post is to try and help advertise the visit of a fellow cyclist to malvern. The main diffrence between him and myself (Benni) is that he recently went around the world – ON A BICYCLE – not only this but he did it in 194 days and 17 hours. He broke the past record by 81 days.This cant have been easy – he cycled at a speed of about 100 miles a day , doing 13,000 miles going throught 20 countries and passing throught 4 continents.
Mark Beaumont will be at Malvern Theatres on the 22nd of April , doing a talk about his remarkable feat – the talk starts at 7.30pm ,Under 26 year olds can get tickets for £8 on 01684 892277 or at malvern-theatres.co.uk – If you are over 26 then tickets only cost £14.
Right , back to the simple reasons for the absence of the Malvern Red Riders on the Internet for almost a year.
There are several small reasons which have all collided to casue the year long absence.
Lack of material to write about – personally im not brillaint at writing about all the technical advances that most MB magazine and websites write about , I know a fair amount about bikes, i can name parts , i know some makes/manufacures but i couldnt tell you the advantages of one head unit over another ( Wozzer probably could)
Another bigger reason is the lack of time, as most people who work (or used to) know time is precious , and money. Wozzer and myself have both been very busy and have only got busier with new jobs ect.
HOWEVER if i can think of something interesting (coz no one is interested in boring stuff) and i have the time then i will try and post as often as possible – maybe we can get a proper readership going.
